Travelogue - Seville, Spain

Laid back lazy days were spent mulling around in Seville. I have a love hate relationship with Spain. I adore the pace of life there. You feel as though you're just floating through. Late breakfasts and even later dinners. And the food.

Seville is a city with narrow paths (sometimes so small that it leaves me in awe of how drivers manage to navigate through them). At night, the river lights up with cafes, music and dance.
To an extent, Seville has an artistic vibe. Some of the buildings and structures make me wonder at the city's versatility.
I love the play of shadows that this installation leaves behind.

One of the main places to visit is Cathedral of St. Mary. It used to be a mosque but was converted in to a cathedral. It's currently the third gothic church in the world, and yes, it's huge. You can easily spent the better part of the day exploring this. Climb up to the bell tower for a view of the city.

Lazy afternoons are perfectly spent strolling down the river. You get to see the locals kayaking, wall climbing and just taking time to enjoy what life has to offer by the river.

Plaza de Espana is located in the middle of a park. It's like finding a gem in an unexpected place. It's a great place for kids to run wild.

On another day in Seville, we decided to explore the city outskirts and tracked down a monastery, only to find that it had been converted into a place for art installations. Nonetheless, I had an enjoyable afternoon soaking in the artworks in display and unleashing my (somewhat lacking) artistic side.

I was pretty amused by some of the drawings on the walls.
