Travelogue - Hanoi

Hanoi was a spur of the moment trip in Feburary 2015. Went there to visit a friend who brought me around on her motobike - which was scary as hell for the first few days because traffic there is crazy! The weather was nice and cooling and flowers were in full bloom as spring was on it's way.

Hanoi was a bustling city will never ending traffic and SO MUCH good food. Since the Chinese New Year was also approaching, I got to experience how Vietnamese households prepare for the new year. Thankfully, I left the day before the eve - by then most of the shops were almost close. Hanoi takes a week off for Chinese New Year and most shop owners will travel back to their home province to visit family and friends.

Also got to visit tourist attractions and learn more about Hanoi's history. Nothing beats having a local bring you around.

Other than Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day was also around the corner! This is one of my favourite shots of the trip.

And to end, some of the local food that I got to try. Will definitely be back for more!

And, I got to make spring rolls!
